What Is an Animal That Juliet Is Like

What Is an Animal That Juliet Is Like

2. Traits/Personality

Lady Capulet.

Relations with others:

  • mother Juliet
  • the foil of Lady Montague
  • Married to Lord Capulet
  • Aunt of Tybalt

Words and phrases used to call her and used to describe her:

  • Lady mother
  • Madam
  • wife
  • forgetful
  • powerful

Approx. Age:

29-30

Description :

Lady Capulet was an odd women in the time period. Instead of existence a step above animals on the great chain of being she acted like she was a step to a higher place men. She spoke up for her and her husband instead of having Lord Capulet do everything for her. She demands respect.

Unique attributes:

  • Talked a lot for a lady
  • Dissimilar from women during the time

3. Linguistic communication

"Well, girl, thou weep'st not and then much for his death as that the villain lives that slaughtered him" (3.v.79-lxxx)

  • I believe this quote means that you shouldn't cry over his expiry every bit much as you should cry because the murder is still alive.
  • This passage reveals my character by how she is saying don't weep and then much of a lost family unit member cry because an enemy is still alive. It shows how she is so overwhelmed with ability and hatred she is telling her ain daughter not to mourn over a loss that cannot be brought dorsum, be aroused an enemy is the i who killed him.
  • Information technology'southward significant to the plot because the Lady herself brings upwardly Romeo. In a fowl manner but still gives Juliet the chance to play off of it.

"Ay sir; but she will none. She gives you lot cheers. I would the fool were married to her grave" (3.5.139-140)

  • In modern terms this means "Yes sir I told her and she says thanks simply refuses. I wish the fool was dead and married to her grave"
  • This is foreshadowing.
  • This reveals my grapheme by how she doesn't get disrespected very often and then when Juliet says marrying Paris is and offer she must refuse it drives Lady Capulet crazy.
  • This is significant to the plot because Lady Capulet says "I would the fool were married to her grave" information technology ties the story together and reminds the audition and readers that even though Romeo and Juliet are married they are still going to finish upwards dead.

4. Significance

How she is significant to the overall plot?
  • She keeps Juliet from seeing Juliet
  • She makes Juliet marry Paris which leads to Juliet faking her death
  • She is hardheaded and stuck in her means and so that keeps the Montagues and Capulets enemies

How does she play a office in what happens to the couple?

  • She tells Juliet that she has no choice only to marry Paris which lead Juliet to get take to the Friar to go become a sleeping potion to fake her death.

How is this person an accurate representation to the fourth dimension period, or not?

  • Shes non accurate. She is a women who ane the keen chain of existence says women are right earlier animals and right beneath men. Lady Capulet on the other hand acts like she is equally practiced or amend than men.

Why would Shakespeare write this character into the play?

  • He wrote it in the play so ane family can accept a strong man and a weak women and then the other family has a strong female and a not so potent man figure.

Where would this character be on the Great Chain of Beingness?

  • Since she is a woman she would be placed below the men only to a higher place the servant girls and animals.

How does the Boethian Bicycle effect this character

  • She is on peak of the Wheel. She is going to go downwardly when her daughter dies merely in my heed she is either correct in the middle or on pinnacle of the Wheel.

5. Symbolism/Action

Ruby Rose: A red rose symbolizes Lady Capulet because crimson is the colour of the Capulets and she is nice like the flower part but she can be strict and mean like the thorns.

A Rock: A stone symbolizes her because she is a potent woman. She does the opposite of what she should be according to the Swell Chain of Existence.

Run into Saw: A see saw represents her considering she goes back and forth betwixt a hard parents to a soft side. You see this from when Juliet didn't want to get married to when Juliet died.

6. Reflections

  • A reflection for my character is she is a strong, independent women. I call up Shakespeare made her like this because he liked to break the rules a piffling scrap. He starting time combined tragedy and comedy, but with Lady Capulet he bankrupt the rules of the great chain of existence. He made the Capulet family unit stronger than the Montague family. I think he made the character of Lady Capulet this mode because he wanted to evidence how different the aforementioned types of people can exist.
  • Things I have in common with person is that we are both very outspoken and open with how we feel. She was difficult on the ones she loved but was hurt when something bad happened to them. She looks like she is a strong contained woman and I experience like I relate to that.
  • This play and my grapheme relate to teens today by the love story. Lady Capulet is something many kids tin can relate to as there female parent effigy. Moms desire to be very in the new and want to know all nearly your life, simply with kids we keep secrets. We observe somebody to confide in and tin lose trust quick similar Juliet did with the nurse.
  • My impression of this graphic symbol is that the play would be a lot different if she was known as a tranquillity, soft-spoken adult female. She is who she needs to be to complete this play. She isn't a very practiced mother just she seems like she has her moments.
